As we're going into the cold season, I wanted to make sure everything was spic and span and ready to go so we wouldn't experience any issues at a time when we needed the heater the most. Also, safety is of upmost importance so I wanted to make sure that our heater was up to all compliance standards. After messaging this business on Yelp, Ron got back to me quickly with some available times he was free to come and take care of my service. On the day of, he showed up with his grandson (I love that this is a family business!) The two of them immediately got to work with checking out my heater and were extremely knowledgeable in what they were doing and looking for. Luckily, it looks like my heater is still relatively new and is a good model and to save me money, Ron let me know that going forward, I really only needed to get it serviced every 2 years instead of every 1. They also found that there were two filters in my heater and I only needed one. Since they didn't have the filter I needed with them, they offered to drive to the nearest Home Depot to purchase one for me. Ron scheduled an appointment with me for Thursday and he was right on time. The diagnosis was the control panel for my heater was broken. The cost to replace including labor was reasonable and I agreed to go ahead with the repair. Ron went to a store to obtain the panel and the shop gave him the wrong panel. Obviously he had rely on the shop after giving them the brand and model to sell us the right panel. After spending hours putting it in the panel didn't work and the shop now said it would take 5 days for the right one to arrive and they can't find anyone in the Bay Area that has one on hand. Ron called around himself and found a shop in Dublin who carries the panel. He went all the way there to pick it up and installed for me by Friday noon. You talked about service.
